Summary of Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, take detailed messages, or transfer calls to the appropriate person.
- Check voicemail messages at the start of each daily work period and relay messages promptly.
- Update and maintain the Office of Ministry event calendar.
- Create and distribute electronic posters, cards, and other materials as requested. Make announcements in the Office of Ministry (Campus Ministries) WhatsApp and texting groups in a timely manner.
- Maintain and monitor Campus Ministries bulletin board postings to ensure compliance with appropriate stamps, posting durations, and policy guidelines. Remove expired or unapproved postings from bulletin boards and dining hall tables.
- Decorate and update Campus Ministries bulletin boards at least once a month or as requested.
- Design flyers and announcements for special Campus Ministries events and activities throughout the academic year.
- Update and manage the Convocation participants’ schedule, keeping participants informed and reminded of their responsibilities.
- Update and maintain the Gideon 300 annual events and activities calendar.
- Produce "Monthly Happenings" and distribute them across campus and in dining hall tables on the last day of each month for the upcoming month.
- Provide administrative assistance, including printing, making copies, placing purchase orders, and processing other service requests, such as facility reservations, as requested.
- Assist with the planning and setup of Campus Ministries events and activities.
- Distribute appropriate forms to students upon request.
- Provide assistance and support during service days and other Office of Ministry outreach events.
- Actively promote campus ministries by regularly managing and utilizing the Office of Ministry's social media accounts. Monitor and respond to messages received via social media platforms.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Office of Ministry workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be a current WAU student who is motivated for learning and service.
- Must have good attention to detail with good communication skills.
- Demonstrate good customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
