Food Pantry Assistant Job Description

Job Description
The Student Professional works closely with the Office of Ministry on a variety of office tasks, including but not limited to: 
  • Assist food pantry managers in receiving donations
  • Make sure that received food packets are sorted, stocked, and stored in an appropriate manner
  • Collect appropriate data to determine food needs in specific areas
  • Ensure maintenance and cleanliness of the food pantry
  • Make sure that all surfaces in the food pantry are sanitized in accordance with the standards of the organization
  • Manage the front desk of the food pantry and provide information to visitors and clients
  • Handle the intake process according to the office regulations
  • Create and submit reports of all distributed items as necessary, and ensure that all interactions with participants are kept confidential
  • Other duties as assigned
