  • Lead the Columbia Collegiate Chorale and Pro Musica of Washington Adventist University in pursuing the highest level of artistry
  • Teach in a secondary area such as Music Theory, Music History, and/or Applied Music in area of expertise
  • Actively recruit, administer choral budget and scholarships, serve on university committees, perform community and alumni outreach
  • Supports and affirms a culture of distinctive excellence and exceptional service.
  • Attends University events and, required meetings (including weekly Convocation)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Note:  Academic rank will be assigned to the successful candidate and will be dependent on education and experience.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Earned Doctorate in music plus commitment and expertise in choral conducting are required.
  • ABD and Master of Music degree candidates with extensive choral experience will be considered.
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching at the university level plus potential for high-profile national recognition are desired qualifications.
  • Must be a practicing member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
