PRIMARY DUTIES

 
  • Welcome guests and students by greeting them in person or on the telephone; and answer or direct inquiries regarding the nursing programs
  • Answer the phone and take messages for personnel
  • Assist with miscellaneous work projects and assignments as instructed
  • Keep the three nursing laboratories tidy and organized
  • Unpack, inventory, assemble, and store nursing laboratory equipment
  • Set out nursing laboratory equipment requested by professors
  • Replace equipment and supplies in proper storage areas after use
  • Operate the Xerox machine, and fax machine as requested
  • Maintain and organize student laboratory files in coordination with the Simulation Coordinator
  • Assist simulation coordinator to collate simulation evaluation data
 

QUALIFICATIONS

 
  • Must be enrolled currently as a WAU student.
  • Must be professional in dress and communication
  • Must wear laboratory scrubs and a lab coat (provided by Department of Nursing) when working in the nursing laboratories
  • Must be reliable and on time
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, type accurately and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be able to accurately take phone messages
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of professionalism
  • Must possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills
