The Betty Howard Center for Student Success is soliciting applications for tutors in all subject areas for the 2016-2017 academic year.  The job of the tutor is to meet individually with students enrolled in courses in which the tutor has demonstrated mastery of knowledge and provide explanation/clarity on subject material, insight, guidance, coaching and academic success strategies. 
 
Tutors must participate in a mandatory tutor training the week before classes begin and in occasional tutor nights that will be scheduled throughout the academic year.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Must be a WAU student who has completed the registration process for the Fall 2016 semester before being hired
  • Must obtain the recommendation of the chair of the department under which the course(s) for which he/she tutors falls.
