POSITION SUMMARY
Washington Adventist University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Program Manager, Professional Development Schools (PDS).  This position will function as the liaison with Montgomery County public schools for the placement of education students, as well as recruiter of and advisor to Education majors in SGPS. 

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish PDS relationship with identified Maryland schools
  • Collect data for and prepare/analyze PDS reports
  • Attend regular faculty meetings
  • Input Praxis I & II scores into DATATEL program
  • Ensure Praxis reports are properly processed
  • Manage/facilitate MSDE cohorts
  • Maintenance of SGPS educational program
  • Assist education faculty with advising of traditional education students
  • Initiate and maintain PDS grant
  • Work with MSDE CCCPDF grant manager to assist with completing reports, preparing invoices and managing grant
  • Supports and affirms a culture of distinctive excellence and exceptional service.
  • Attends University events and required meetings (including weekly Convocation)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
  • Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling or related field
  • 2 years experience in a higher education environment
