Temporary/Part-Time Position
 
WGTS 91.9 is a listener-supported Federal Communication Commission licensed noncommercial radio station that is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; it is a self-supporting media ministry under common control of the Washington Adventist University Board of Trustees.


SUMMARY
This is a temporary, part-time, on-call position of 15-20 hours per month. The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Video and Creative Marketing through WGTS-related needs.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist during production by serving as a production assistant on set;
● Assist a video producer in post-production tasks such as media management, assistant editing and editing projects;
● Utilize Industry leading platforms including Adobe Creative Cloud;
● Assist as a second cameraman or photographer at WGTS events and concerts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:
  • Must be a WAU student
  • Undergraduate degree preferred with two or more years of media experience.

Language Skills:
● Superior command of English grammar and spelling.
● Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
● Exceptional communication skills.

Technology Skills:
● Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, Google G Suite software, video and audio recording equipment and related software such as Adobe Premier.

Other Skills and Abilities:
● Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
● Must be able to remain calm and in control during stressful situations.
● An impeccable attention to detail and reliability.
