WGTS 91.9 Report To: Brennan Wimbish, Program Director



Under the supervision of the Program Director, the production assistant is responsible for helping to create the on-air sound of the radio station during the evening, overnight, and weekend broadcast hours. This individual will work with the program director on the implementation of daily tracked shows.
  • Produce evening, overnight and weekend broadcasts
  • Download and separate recorded show elements for on air broadcast via FTP
  • Record show elements into automation system for daily airplay
  • Record and edit phone calls for on air use
  • Operate the control board for the WGTS 91.9 studio(s)
  • Download and import one-minute shows into WGTS automation system
  • Serve as content filter for on air broadcast shows
  • Record audio at station events, catalog, and edit for on air use
  • Ensure the station remains on time during the evening, overnight, and weekend hours.
  • Assist promotional team at WGTS station events both on-site and off-site when necessary
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Candidate must be dependable and coachable
  • Student at WAU
  • Minimum 1-year radio production or related experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of FTP or radio automation systems preferred
