WGTS 91.9 is a listener-supported Federal Communication Commission licensed noncommercial radio station that is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; it is a self-supporting media ministry under common control of the Washington Adventist University Board of Trustees.
Reporting directly to the Donor Care Specialist, responsible for communicating with donors whose monthly donations have recently stopped due to credit card re-issuing. The process includes primarily phone, but also written communication. It means establishing reason for calling and communicating our desire for updated payment information allowing them to continue their giving.  This position is responsible for collecting confidential data, receiving donations over the phone through a secure donation page, and providing encouragement to donor as needed including praying with donors when indicated. A donor call list will be provided to Phone Operator by Donations Care Specialist. As a member of the team, other office duties will be assigned from time to time.
  • Greet customers warmly and inform reason for call or other communication.
  • Relay and deliver verbal and written messages.
  • Record detailed notes of donor communication in a shared document.
  • Answer donor’s questions or transfer to Donations Care team member as appropriate.
  • Receive donations securely online through WGTS’ giving page via phone.
  • Keep all information confidential.
  • Participate in WGTS-related events as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High School diploma
  • One year of related experience preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Superior command of English grammar and spelling.  
  • Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
Technology Skills:
  • Knowledge and application of basic Microsoft Office applications as well as Google Drive applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications such as our donor database, Raiser’s Edge.
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Exhibits superior leadership skills and ability to work effectively and constructively with a variety of people.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must be able to remain calm and in control during stressful situations.
