  • Keeping track of all office materials and ordering supplies as asked.
  • Faxing and photocopying material from facsimile equipment as assigned.
  • Retrieving mail from mail-room and separating mail as assigned to individuals.
  • Assisting students, faculty, staff and visitors conducting business in the office.
  • Answering and screening telephone calls in the absence of supervisor or professors.
  • Creating materials for bulletin boards and changing bulletin boards monthly.
  • Performing clerical or data entry tasks such as filing documents in departmental files.
  • Making phone calls on behalf of the department.
  • Creating and updating records in the department database.
  • Sorting, copying, and shredding materials compiling information as requested by the department supervisor.
  • Conducting research using the Internet as requested.
  • Scheduling appointments for the department.
  • Delivering materials to other campus offices.
  • Organizing and maintaining main office, storage room, and student work lab clean.


  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at WAU.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exhibits high level of professionalism.
