POSITION SUMMARY The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Betty Howard Center for Student Success. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the department by assisting staff, serving as a welcoming point of contact for students and visitors, and helping maintain an organized and professional office environment. PRIMARY DUTIES
Supporting the daily operations of the Betty Howard Center for Student Success.
Responding to/sending emails.
Answering the phone.
Professionally greeting all guests who enter the department.
Responding to inquiries regarding department services, resources, and processes (to the best of your knowledge).
Assisting department staff with printing, copying, scanning, and other administrative tasks.
Run errands for the department (i.e. dropping off forms at the required office).
Collect mail and sort it into our department mail box.
Ensure the common spaces of the department are clean and orderly.
Complete any tasks assigned to you within a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work professionally and courteously with students, faculty, and staff.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
