Hourly Rate:   $17.15/hr

SUMMARY
  • Answer and forward incoming calls
  • Assist residence hall staff in cases of emergency as needed
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness of front desk and lobby area
  • Maintain front desk forms and supplies (sign-in/sign out sheets, log sheets, pens, etc.)
  • Maintain Main Lobby decorum at all times
  • Maintain work appropriate attire
  • Notify student dean or Assistant Head Desk Worker of any scheduling conflicts
  • Perform general clerical duties as needed
  • Serve as Sub-desk Worker as needed
  • Understand all Desk Worker responsibilities
  • Update current residence hall notices, announcements, and revised policies/procedures as directed
  • Available to work on weekends if needed

  • Demonstrate diplomacy and sensitivity when working with peers and customers;

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good IT skills;
  • Good WAU citizenship record
  • In-depth knowledge of directing visitors to the right person
  • Knowledge of WAU policies and procedures
  • Poses high level of organizational skills;
  • Well versed in managing multiple line phone system and handling multiple incoming calls
