Salary Range:    $20/ Hour

 PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Complete spring and fall clean-ups (raking lawns, cleaning walkways, etc.)
  • Remove weeds and dead plants to encourage healthy plant growth
  • Trim/prune tree and hedge overgrowth
  • Trim/edge paths, walls, and flower beds
  • Mulch flower beds
  • Apply fertilizer and pesticides to residential lawns
  • Install pavers, patios, walkways, and other hardscaping
  • Install decks, pergolas, gazebos, raised flower beds, and other structures
  • Plant sod, trees, hedges, flowers, shrubs, and other plants
  • Assess, install, activate, and repair outdoor lighting and sprinkler systems
  • Maintain established lawns using a hand, power, push, and/or riding lawn mower
  • Drive work trucks to/from job sites and supplier locations
  • Load and unload landscaping tools into/from work trucks
  • Remove snow and ice from driveways, sidewalks, and paths in winter
  • Interact professionally with clients and advise them on landscape care
  • Accurately log billable hours using a time-tracking app
  • Add job details, review daily tasks, and send customer follow-ups using our CMMS app
  • Perform needed PM on all Facility Services Equipment
  • Move items between campus locations
  • Help with all other Facility Services tasks
 
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND CHARACTERISTICS:  
  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of experience as a landscaping, hardscaping, or groundskeeping worker
  • Can operate commercial equipment (lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws)
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
  • Able to repeatedly lift and move 50+ pounds
  • Able to sit, stand, kneel, climb, lift, and climb stairs and ladders
  • Top-notch organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Willing to learn and to follow instructions
  • Can communicate well (multiple languages are a plus)
  • Can work independently and as part of a team environment
  • Experience using scheduling apps or routing apps preferred (training can be
  • provided)
  • Salary will be based on the candidate’s education and experience.
